Hey guys todday we've been studying a brand new extrodenary book called street child. All I have to say is that I don't miss the snow queen because were STARTING A NEW BOOOOOOOOOK!
STREET CHILD WHAT I THINK IS GOING TO HAPPEN Well what I think is going to happen is that he grew up poor and his mom wanted him to steal food for him and his relatives to eat. He went to steal the fruits and food and the shop keeper saw and chased the poor boy Jim across the whole town.
STREET CHILD WHAT I THINK IS GOING TO HAPPEN TO JIM'S FAMILY!So what I think is going to happen to Jim's family is that they're going to be a RICH! Jim's family could loose all the money is going to be all gone. THEY MIGHT BE RICH OR THEY WE BE VERY POOR STILLLL
Did you know this book Street child relates to the Victorians. This is what i think is going to happen in the story, although the Jarvis family is now homeless they would still find somewhere to live there poorly mother would send her children out for jobs to get money because before they did not even have 1 shilling left.So they would basically they would end up rich and with all the praying they have done their mothers sickness would heel and they would be back on track again.
when i was looking at the front cover, i looked at background and thought the house might be the work house and he might of gotten kidnap,he is trying to run away from the work house but he left his mum because miss jravis cares about her kids so she lets his of.
Jim is a very nice person, and what i think will happen is, they are going to get kicked out, because mr Spinks is a very bad man and not a very nice caring person.
hello to all you bloggers out there, I am going to be reporting back about what is happening in the story so far here I go wish me luck:In chapter 3 we are all clear now that stuck up Spinks has taken the Jarvis family`s house away from them so now they are homeless.
So Mrs Jarvis went to her old work place to ask her coullege for help but unfortunetly her coullege Rosie could only take to of her children Emily and Lizzie the reason was because there was not enough space and the two children had to sleep on the floor which is worse.
So of went Jim and his mother to the workhouse it was one of Jim's nightmares he was not happy at all.
Well I thought that Jim was caring to Emily and Lizzie because he brought them Hot steaming Mince pie and he acted like a father, because he was brave enough to stand up to Mr spinks and explain what had happened. I also thought that Mr Spinks was mean and I thought that all he wanted was money I think In chapter 2 he kicked them out and said "No Money No rent No room No rent."

I think in the rest of the book is that Jim's mother might have to go to the hospital about her sickness and Jim has to stay with her because Emily and Lizze is not there
Hi people so I've found out a bit more information from my best teacher Miss Williams. Jim Jarvis money less mother had found a home for her daughter Emily also there were two policemen and they both wanted to put Jim in the workhouse because they thought he stole a.... But one of the policemen said that he has to die in there and he could never can out of the CREEPY workhouse. Thank you for listening thanks.
Mr. Spinks is selfish because all he cares about is money and when he thought the Jarvis family was hiding the money, he said "no money, no rent, no rent, no house".
Well done for using a quote from the text to support your arguement Ridwaan. Was Mr Spinx really selfish, or was he just trying to make enough money to survive?

Before 1834, poor people were looked after by buying food and clothing from money collected from land owners and other wealthy people.
The Poor Law Amendment Act of 1834, ensured that no able-bodied person could get poor relief unless they went to live in special workhouses. The idea was that the poor were helped to support themselves. They had to work for their food
