Queen Victoria was born 24 may 1819 and died 22 January 1901 and was the monarch of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland from 20 June 1837 until her death. she married her first cousin Prince Albert of Saxe Coburg and Gotha. She became queen when she was 18 and that was because her dad and three elder brothers died.
Hi bloggers i just want to tell you one fact about queen victoria Victoria was the daughter of Prince Edward, Duke of Kent and Strathearn, the fourth son of King George III. Both the Duke of Kent and King George III died in 1820, and Victoria was raised under close supervision by her German-born mother Princess Victoria of Saxe-Coburg-Saalfeld.She inherited the throne at the age of 18, after her father's three elder brothers had all died leaving no legitimate, surviving children.
for homework we had to find out what a workhouse is ,what i wrote in my book is that a workhouse is a work place for poor people so they could get money, for there family.the only people that work there was poor people.
It tells me that she never had a very fun life and was very serious about things. She used to wear golden jewels to show her wealth. In the background there are always pictures behind her about lands.
For our homework we were supposed to write about workhoues and i found out that it is a place where people can die in and if the did not behave they would end up on the streets. It was a strict place for people to live in and it was a place do not wish to be in. there is your info about Workhouses.

Hello bloggers, in the Victorian days the punishment for children were cruel there were so many I will name some: Back straightener, finger stocks.
What did they use in their classrooms? In their class rooms they would use:a school slate which was a very unusual to people in the modern days and in fact it has a modern day equivalent which is a whiteboard and whiteboard pen. Also they used this toy named a diabolo which was a very active game which was the best for multi players.
Hey blogges, nice to see the blog again but that is not what i am here about i am here to talk about queen Victoria and how there is a relation between the book street child and Victoria: How does the street child book and (queen) Victoria have a relationship?
One thing that i think is a relation is that their fathers both died when Victoria and the Jarvis children were baby's.
Queen victoria was born 24th may 1819 she was the fifth in line to the throne she was only eighteen when she was queen. as she married her first cousin King Albert he died when he was only 41 and she hardly came outside to public she could not take care of four girls and five boys but she acctually did.
Hey guys,i really think that (CHILD LABOUR)means that little children are slaves for other adults. In victorian times all i know was that little boys use to clean shoes for men, also in the future has polish but them times never had any black polish. Hope you've enjoyed my piece of imformation. I ALSO LOVED MY FRIENDS TOOO
The Victorians children were taken away from their parents and forced to do hard LABOUR.Also the victorain children who go taken away them their family never went to school and when they are injured they will be replaced by another child. The people who take the children used pins to make the children work faster.THAT IS SO UNCOOL AND NOT FAIR
victorian haved 9 chidren and her real alexandra Ineffective parliamentary acts to regulate the work of workhouse children in factories and cotton mills to 12 hours per day had been passed as early as 1802 and 1819.
Did you know thst, during child labour,Many children worked 16 hour days under atrocious conditions, as their elders did. Ineffective parliamentary acts to regulate the work of workhouse children in factories and cotton mills to 12 hours per day had been passed as early as 1802 and 1819.
Also, when "Short Time Committees" organized largely by Evangelicals began to demand a ten hour day, a royal commission established by the Whig government recommended in 1833 that children aged 11-18 be permitted to work a maximum of twelve hours per day; children 9-11 were allowed to work 8 hour days it was not easy at all.
